A lightweight steel, box-girder bridge with modular concrete
deck has been developed for application in many areas.
One of PND’s first uses was for the U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers, for a bridge traversing the Chena
River in Fairbanks. This bridge represented a life
cost savings of $2 million. Several major structures
near Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, in the Arctic Ocean, and
in Anchorage now exist. Several more are planned
at remote sites.
