This competition recognizes the efforts of member firms

This
comprehensive redevelopment of Seattle’s downtown
waterfront incorporates a pier design that utilizes
PND’s innovative SPIN FIN® piles to a depth of
65 feet to achieve a 430-ton ultimate tension pile
capacity. This provided the economic and geometric
advantage the project needed to provide adequate space
for the desired marina. This development also provided
the foundation design philosophy for the lateral resistance
required for remaining structures during seismic events.
