PND provided marine
engineering for the Port of Seattle's $67 million
project, one of 136 finalists in the nationwide
contest. Marine project elements included a full-service
marina for transient moorage, a 900-foot-long state-of-the-art
wave barrier, 126,000 square feet of concrete dock structures,
shore protection design, pile foundations for the building
structures, and the rehabilitation of an existing bulkhead.
Over seven-and-one-half miles of concrete piling and 11
miles of steel piling were required, including 374 SPIN FIN® piles.
